Les Schwab Has Passed On

I've been offline for a couple days, so I didn't post this on Friday when it was announced: Les Schwab, who built a small tire business into one of the biggest in the nation, died Friday in Prineville. He was 89. Full story.

I have to wonder if, now that the patriarch is dead, the Schwab family won't either sell the company or move the manufacturing and distribution end of it out of Prineville to some more convenient and/or lower-wage location.
