The older and more jaded you get, the less effective these cheap tricks become however.

Anyway, what we are discussing here is the art of story telling. The art of putting to film (or to billboard, or whatever) the ideas that a person (a director, marketer, comedian, whoever) has locked away in their minds.

They see a vision, they want you to see it too. They can't just film it, since it doesn't exist in real life.

In comes the art of story telling.
