UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. In addition to editing this site in his free time, he is the IT Director and graphic designer at both Sunray and Discover Sunriver. I don't care *what* kind of traffic your site gets, you have to be a flipping idiot to be stuck with a host that charges you that much for any level of bandwidth. We deal direct with Cogent, AT&T, and MCI for our customers' bandwidth needs. Our pricing? Incredibly, insanely cheaper than that. Even for a customer with a quad-processor dedicated server and 2-Gigabit connection (that's roughly 648 TERRABYTES of transfer per month). Yes, Lieberman was a fool for hiring a lame webmaster, but Kos is the bigger fool for touting just how much cash he's throwing away on a *blog* site. Post a comment |
