I respect that the author uses interesting phychological tactics to kick start motivation. They are also clear about what sort of situations such a strategy might work with. I know I am sold, and I will try it out and see what I discover. I guess the term I am searching for here is "meta-motivation". :) The reason his main question becomes phychologically relevant is because answering it sets one up to be excited about the possible outcome, making the task self-fulfilling.
