UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. The Rise And Fall of the Nigerian Space ProgramBefore Cheryl sent me this hilarious story about a childhood experiment with gun powder, I had never heard of The LawDog Files. I stumbled on his blog last week after stumbling on another blog that linked his (http://www.decrepitoldfool.com/). The comparison was made to Patrick McManus and so I had to check it out for myself. Very true. I sent his link to Patrick (who used to live near my parents in Idaho). Anyways, I laughed so hard I had to stop reading less I wet my pants. (Childbirth is wonderful, but I do so miss bladder control...).Anyhoo--I guess he is an officer by career. By the sounds of it, pretty darned well read as well.
