UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. The Rise And Fall of the Nigerian Space ProgramBefore Cheryl sent me this hilarious story about a childhood experiment with gun powder, I had never heard of The LawDog Files. I stumbled on his blog last week after stumbling on another blog that linked his (http://www.decrepitoldfool.com/). The comparison was made to Patrick McManus and so I had to check it out for myself. Very true. I sent his link to Patrick (who used to live near my parents in Idaho). Anyways, I laughed so hard I had to stop reading less I wet my pants. (Childbirth is wonderful, but I do so miss bladder control...).Anyhoo--I guess he is an officer by career. By the sounds of it, pretty darned well read as well.
