Two Local Teenage Idiots Nearly Kill Themselves
I can't believe how stupid some people can be. Two Bend teens were burned, one critically, Monday evening while allegedly "huffing" gasoline fumes, when one spilled gas onto his clothes and the other started playing with a lighter and lit him on fire, police said.
[...]
Firefighter/paramedics put out the blaze and took Michael Davis, 15, and Lee Helms, 16, to St. Charles Medical Center-Bend for treatment of burns, Koester said. Helms was treated and released, while Davis was flown by Air Life helicopter to the burn center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, where he was in critical condition early Tuesday. I just hope these kids never breed.

Who knows, maybe the gasoline spill was around the groin.
"'Huffing' gasoline fumes." Sheesh. When I was their age I found alcohol entertaining enough.

Anna said on 05/05/06 @ 02:05 AM: Amazing how the media turns things around just be one kid that didn't want to get in trouble. Michael was cleaning his go-cart and accidently spilled some gasoline on his shirt and then went inside the house. Went into his room where his so called friends were messying around with a lighter and got the spark going. His is still in bad shape for the burns. Kids need to get real friends and not friends that just take off when the start the trouble.
