UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. KTVZ Has T-Shirt Removed From Local T-Shirt ShopI certainly don't know the whole story to this, but either KTVZ thinks they own the rights to Bob Shaw's likeness (which they might by contract, but satirical cartoons of public figures, even if it is for profit, is protected speech, as far as I know -- it's been a while since I've studied this kind of law), or they are claiming they own the rights to "Have a Sparkling day."
