March Madness Is Underway

So far, I'm 2 for 2 on my picks (and will be 3 for 3 if Boston College pulls it out -- that one's in double overtime). You obviously can't make your picks any more, but if anybody has already made picks on Yahoo, you can still join my group until the end of the day today and possibly win a prize (there are 18 people in the group so far, so your odds are pretty good).

On a related note, I know the following bloggers are competing in the UtterlyBoring pick 'em contest (if you on the list and you're not listed here, it's because I don't recognize your screen name or e-mail address):

Mrs. H
William Bragg
Monkey In A Box
Right Wing Conspirator
Bend Restaurants
Scott's Daily Journal
Homersolo

If I'm missing you on the above list, let me know, as I don't necessarily know too many last names or pseudonyms that people might use.

Hi Jake, I'm one of the lurkers you don't recognize (Jen's Picks). You know me from your SJ/Gannett/Salem days. I live and work in Bend now. Just keeping my eye on you! ;)

PS - By the way in case you didn't know CONGRATS as this site was recognized by AdFed today at AdBite as one of the best Central Oregon websites. (Randy and I cheered for you.)

Jeez, Jen....quit stalking me ;-)

But no, I had NO idea about AdBite mentioning my Web site. That's pretty dang cool, and once they update their site with info about today's event, maybe it'll have something there.

It was asked "How many of you are familiar with 'Utterly Boring'?" as a screenshot was up on the monitor. MANY hands went up, and one person commented that they didn't even know it was a local site. Funny.

I need to start going to those just to see BrENDa.

i choose to remain anonymous because too many people would recognize my name.

Jake said on 03/16/06 @ 11:27 PM:
You're no fun, babbage...

Jake - I'm Hoosier Daddy. Considering I made my picks in about 3 minutes, I shouldn't anticipate being very competitive.

My main blog is anonymous as well, but there is a small site I contribute to that I've linked (if you don't mind Tripod's awful pop-ups).

i'm lots of fun. if you guess, i'll tell you. here's a hint: i left bend in august.

besides, if you don't want to guess, just wait until i win. then i'll have to reveal myself to get my shirt.

No idea, other than the IP address you're posting from resolves to Cox Communications in Atlanta. Am I close? The only person I can think of that left for Atlanta was a timpani player locally....and I don't know if he'd read this site or not.

babbage said on 03/18/06 @ 08:19 AM:
nope. i am east, but not in atlanta.

Brad said on 03/18/06 @ 02:03 PM:
I'm in it. Can't recall my team name right now, but I will let you know when I win it all.
