UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Oregon Will Swallow the UK WholeDespite Oregon having 50 million people less than the UK, Oregon is, according to the CIA World Fact Book, slightly larger than the UK. Neil, who lives in the UK, pointed this out to me, obviously doesn't know much about Oregon's geography (he is a Brit, after all, <joke>and nobody would ever call them educated </joke>). Like I commented on his entry, some places in Oregon are just just hard to live in -- the mountain areas, some of the desert areas East of Bend, <joke>and parts of LaPine</joke>.
