We've all heard the stories of folks who have been fired for blogging (the most notable being the Google guy), but here's one notable blogger that explains how blogging can be good for your career.

Paul said on 03/23/05 @ 04:55 PM: Well then, Jake, look's like we're supposed to be really succesful. I think I've been scammed.
Patrick said on 03/24/05 @ 06:05 AM: Heh,
I don't know that it's helped *my* career at all.
shannon said on 03/24/05 @ 08:38 AM: maybe i could convince my coworker that reading blogs and blogging at work will help my career.
Jake said on 03/24/05 @ 09:31 AM: shannon: Are you reading blogs at work right now! {shocked!}
Is it that they block you on their network from reading blogs by domain name, or can you get to them if you're sneaky? If it's the former, I can get you a different address to read this site :-)
Paul said on 03/26/05 @ 07:59 AM: Use some sort of annonymizer (unless their proxy blocks that, too).
Paul said on 04/04/05 @ 06:29 PM: Alternatively, you can set your Internet connection up to use a proxy directly. For HTTP, you could use, for example, 212.165.184.101 over port 80.

What are you doing down here? Don't you have something better to do? Like Go Back To The Top of the page, or even see who created this site? This site is © 2001 - 2012 by the Utterly Boring folks at UtterlyBoring.com. Steal my content, as I probably did, too, just link to my site or the original site. Batteries not included.
