Over a quarter of Black Americans believe the US government created the HIV virus, and 1 in 8 believe that it is being spread by the CIA, according to a study released by Rand Corporation and the University of Oregon. Full story. Thanks Neil for the link.
Neil T. said on 01/31/05 @ 01:27 AM: I was waiting for you to pick that story up. Sad, isn't it?
Jake said on 01/31/05 @ 11:39 PM: Yes, indeed, Neil. And I've had this link flagged forever, just haven't gotten around to getting it posted.
Jessica said on 02/02/05 @ 01:38 PM: To me the study results sounded wacky, and after looking up more info on the study itself I'm not surprised. Rand says that it called 500 people between the ages of 15 and 44 and asked them questions. Not very representative of the black population and there's only a 40 to 60% response rate for telephone surveys.
Kris said on 02/08/05 @ 05:35 AM: i heard that a long time ago... that has got to be the stupidest thing i have ever heard.
sepitar said on 05/29/05 @ 03:02 PM: if over a quarter believe the US government developed HIV that means almost 75% of the black population really is dumb.
jessi said on 04/12/06 @ 02:05 PM: It doesn't make you any smarter when you foccus your time on dumb people. I suggest you stop avoiding your insecurities by pointing fingers at others and try to lay off the beer, lose some weight and find a date.
