Oregon Employers Don't Give A Rip?
That's sort of the way I'm reading this press release. It says "Nearly half of Oregon employers treat their employees well to help reduce turnover, according to the results of a recent survey." So do the other 50% just not give a rip?
Just something to think about.

Jake said on 01/13/05 @ 10:06 AM: I've seen that, too. But as I've said before, if you pay your employees more, you'll actually keep labor costs down. The cost of retraining new folks is expensive, and it's worth it to keep good employees. If you notice, Costco has VERY little turnover. Why? Because they were smart and realized it was cheaper to keep good employees by paying them more than it was to have a bunch of turnover and retraining costs.
Any employer who doesn't understand this is an idiot.

Once upon a time I read an article in a newspaper about a company that offered health insurance to all of its employees, many of whom were part time, so I bought stock in that company, and it did very well. I had to sell it when I was between jobs, but made a bunch of money on it.
