I Knew It!

Remember the guy that got a crapload of attention and media coverage for giving the ability to control his huge display of Christmas lights that folks could control via the Web? The whole thing was a hoax. Here's the official word from the guy who runs the site.

Welllll Blue ... if I did tell you that Santa Claus was a hoax also, I'm sure the press would try to crucify me for that ... so I won't! ;-)

Nice reporting Jake - you actually linked to the WSJ article that broke the the story and also linked to my site where I explain it. I hope you don't mind me popping in and pointing out one more page which is my media commentary page where I comment on some of the things that were inaccurately reported about the whole thing - needless to say, the media ain't too thrilled with me! ;-)

So for those handful of folks who were annoyed by the hoax, I'd encourage folks to read my side, and then form your opinion. The response has been overwhelmingly positive.
