The Rest Of The World Can't See Bush
Really, I'd consider it a blessing: Surfers outside the US have been unable to visit the official re-election site of President George W Bush.
The blocking of browsers sited outside the US began in the early hours of Monday morning.
Since then people outside the US trying to browse the site get a message saying they are not authorised to view it.
The blocking does not appear to be due to an attack by vandals or malicious hackers, but as a result of a policy decision by the Bush camp. Really, though, this isn't a very smart move on Bush's part, because there are a ton of American citizens that will be voting but live overseas. He just cut every one of them out.

Perhaps they should spend their time learning how to use a spell checker instead of writing about stupid unimportant crap..... Or maybe they spell authorized with an S in England?
Jake said on 10/27/04 @ 04:08 PM: Many words in America that are spelled with a "z" are spelled with an "S" in England. Criticize, for example.
Chris said on 10/27/04 @ 08:49 PM: I used an anonymizer (note the Z to keep you happy) www.behidden.com to access the site and could see it fine. Can't believe Bush did this. The rest of the world is terrified he'll get back in power but as they can't vote, I don't see how this could help. Not that I think JK will be any better but at least he hasn;t the histiry of warmongering. If he's trying to stop foreign hackers, he'll have to do much more than that.
Jake said on 10/27/04 @ 08:53 PM: Hehe....I don't need the "z". I'm not a brit, was just pointing out the differences :)
Jason said on 10/29/04 @ 03:48 AM: Blatant self post (I hope it's helpful though) about the site we put together to make it easier to view George's site.
