Rest In Peace, Superman
Christopher Reeves: 1952-2004. He was a super hero, indeed.

Amir said on 10/12/04 @ 02:52 PM: I respected him and admire his devotion helping others.
John said on 10/13/04 @ 04:23 PM: Too bad the Kerry campaign won't let him rest in peace. John Edwards claims that "...when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve will get up out of that wheelchair and walk again"
To which Frist responds:
"It is cruel to people who have disabilities and chronic diseases, and, on top of that, it's dishonest. It's giving false hope to people, and I can tell you as a physician who's treated scores of thousands of patients that you don't give them false hope."
Frist knocks Edwards over stem cell comment
John said on 10/14/04 @ 04:37 PM: Jake. I'm curious why you pulled my post. Seems a bit strange, as it was not off-topic. I've posted in the past, so you know I'm not a spammer, and I used my e-mail, so it wasn't anonymous... I'm not sure what the deal here is.
John said on 10/14/04 @ 04:38 PM: woah... that's wierd.. now it's there again. Never mind my last post.
Jake said on 10/14/04 @ 04:39 PM: I didn't delete your post, John. I wouldn't have, as it's a good post. Can't tell ya why you didn't see it.
John said on 10/15/04 @ 09:38 AM: probably a cached version of the page that showed up in my browser... I'm sure it was my bad.
Thanks.
Amir said on 10/15/04 @ 07:45 PM: I can more relate to Mr. Christopher Reeve’s condition since I became disable by the hand of a Doctor for life.
However, I also like to be positive as Mr. Christopher Reeve was, he worked hard to create the foundation in which fights for disable and injured people. Yes, I agree that creating a falls hope is unethical on the other hand we can not leave without a hope. I am sure that Mr. Edwards was referring to the funding that would be needed to spend on medical research which has hopes in improving condition of Spine Injuries. We know the Republican’s position on this issue.
Personally, I like to see some tangible hopes that perhaps may help me to sit or walk without pain, and hope this can come true for others like me. Hope is a good thing to have.
