Seen This Letter A Few Times?

I can't believe there are so many newspapers running this letter (luckily Google searches couldn't find it on either Bend.com or BendBulletin.com). On the Bush-Cheney 2004 Web site there's an automated form that allows you create a letter to the editor that you can send to your local paper. The problem is that your letter will look just like the letters printed in a pile of other newspapers. That's a propaganda machine right there, ladies and gentlemen.

No big deal.... Kerry's doing the same thing. From his site: http://volunteer.johnkerry.com/speakout/letter/default.aspx
Here are some of his talking points.

George Bush is at it again – his allies tried to smear John McCain’s military service 4 years ago and now they are funding a front group to try to do the same against John Kerry.

The people in this group are proven liars. Official U.S. Navy documents prove their attacks completely false.

Newspapers across the country have documented the attacks against John McCain as smears and untrue distortions, and the fact that the front group making the attacks is funded by Bush donors and long time Republican donors.

John McCain denounced the attacks on John Kerry as “dishonest and dishonorable” and called on President Bush to denounce them. Instead of standing up and denouncing the ads, George Bush is hiding because he wants his front group to do his dirty work, just like they did against John McCain. You may only send one letter to each paper per day.
