UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. And I boo the reverse snobbism so many people relate about golf courses. So many are just pissed cuz they aren't rich enough to play golf all day themselves. I'm not saying it's real exercise. Maybe you can just make sure they don't use decent sunblock and all die a slow, agonizing death of skin cancer, eh? Welcome to C. Oregon. Heh. Now go home! Last I checked, we don't have any in Bend that do -- maybe a couple of the smaller ones. Two of the Sunriver courses do, and Meadow lakes in Prineville does. I'd love to be out there playing -- heck, I could play for free at River's Edge, and Lost Tracks if I wanted, because I work at Sunray -- but I just don't think we need another frickin' course in the land of the desert.
