A Wal-Mart Supercenter opens in American every 1.65 days. Just think how many Mom-and-Pop-type shops are getting driven out by these folks. Scary. Link via Kottke.

Im not sure what people have against business coming in and being successful. If the Mom-andPop shops cant offer as good of value to their customers, then that is their problem. There are plenty of places that I go where I pay MORE, because the products or customer service is better.
Bottom line is, if you cant beat Wal-Mart on prices, you better beat them somewhere else, otherwise they are running their business better than you are running yours, and you will indeed lose....
