UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Oregon creates Office of Rural PolicyThey don't understand the needs, wants, or desires of the other half of Oregon and its population, so they decide to spend some tax dollars, and create an office to study us. It's asinine that an office such as this had to be created, but it does. My worry is that this will just reinforce the stereotype that we're just a bunch of redneck hicks over here, which we're not.
