UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 31-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Customer Service At Its FinestMy wife walked into a new(er) ice cream store in town, and was overwhelmed a bit by the selection. She noticed there were three different kinds of vanilla flavored ice creams: French Vanilla, Vanilla Bean, and Smooth and Creamy. She asked the nit-wit behind the counter, "What's the difference between the three?" His reply? "They're all different kinds of vanilla." Thanks, coach, that was very helpful. Moron.
