UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. In addition to editing this site in his free time, he is the service manager at Weston Technologies. He has LinkedIn and Facebook profiles if you're trying to stalk him. Missing a lawn gnome?So is this guy, and he's setup a site: Where Is My Gnome? He's on mission to find out where his gnome is and why it's missing. He's even been featured on his local TV news station. What's funny is there's a list on the site of other things the guy is interested in: Cheese factories, ceramic bells, and taxidermy. The news station on the site doesn't exist, and the site mentions that the gnome must use travelocity - when you go to the travelocity site, there is a gnome add campaign. what a rip.
