Randall Wright said on 12/15/03 @ 04:46 PM: ... err ... could also be that the asian market font set in which the characters appear recognized that the 'swastika' character has been a sacred religious symbol for millinea before Hitler.
Jake Ortman said on 12/15/03 @ 06:00 PM: From what I understand, it was part of a typeface used for it's Bookshelf reference software as part of a symbol library. Yes, it was derived from a Japanese font set, but I don't know if even the Japanese want to have anything to do with that symbol anymore. Hitler destroyed whatever religious conotations were left with that symbol.
Randall Wright said on 12/18/03 @ 10:49 AM: true ... but the japanese were never involved with any of that! you're not up on their 'history' textbooks? ;-) ... anyway, just wish the nazis could have mucked up a less useful symbol.
