He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. I posted a while back about the Pixel Art Tower. Basically, the premise is that you work with a bunch of strangers to build a high-rise building, with everybody designing their own floor, and you end up with some interesting results. Well, another site has taken the idea, and made it into a horizontal town. Very cool!
