UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. It's still a worm, but it's a good wormNews.com reports that a new variant of the original MSBlast worm is doing good deeds. It applies a patch for the vulnerability that it and other MSBlast worms use to infect Windows systems. While this is all nice and peachy, but the fact remains that it's a worm, and it will continue to clog the arteries of the 'net. But at least it's doing some good.
