It's a Girl!
Sorry for posting this later than in actually happened, but coming across a 'net connection wasn't really a priority for me the last couple days (and I couldn't sniff any wireless access points inside our cement-build room). But on July 27th at 4:07 PM, another Ortman joined the family: Michelle Naomi Ortman, all 7 pounds, 11 ounces, and 20.75-inches of her. She was actually a bit taller than Hannah, but 6 ounces lighter.
Hannah is really excited to be a big sister. We had a t-shirt made for her that said "I'm a Big Sister" that we gave her on Sunday, and she was really excited about that.
The labor went really well for Lydia, much quicker and less work than Hannah's. And since Lydia barely lost any blood and things went so well, nobody bugged us all night long so we could actually get some sleep. But I couldn't be more impressed with Lydia. My wife is awesome! :-)
Anyway, pictures are coming as soon as I get them developed and scanned (which will probably be at least a week). I'm off work until Sunday, but I'll still try to blog periodically between cat-naps.

Birthday Parties Are Exhausting from UtterlyBoring.com on 07/27/09 @ 11:24 PM: My youngest daughter (who was briefly mentioned on here years ago), turned six today. With the weather being nice, we had a carnival party at our house with all sorts... (Read More)

Now you get to go from 2 on 1 to 1 on 1.
It's more work - more then twice as much work. If you have a third - like I did, abandon all hope of controlling anything, and just go with the flow!
Congrats again!

Big congratulations to your wife, too - I think going through labor and delivery is always SO impressive. So much work, but such wonderful rewards. Sounds like things are pretty perfect right now; hope you're all getting a decent amount of rest and the big sister's adjusting nicely!
We hope to be bringing Paul and Mallory home in about 2 to 3 weeks. Summer's starting to suck with two extra bodies on board!!
Oh, and great time to have a birthday - my daughter turned 8 on July 25th. We always have a great time on her birthday, usually just doing the slip & slide/pool thing in the backyard and having all her friends over. Summer birthdays = fun! Summer pregnancy = sucktaculer!! I've done it TWICE now! Ack! The next time I get knocked up, it'd better be in about June so I can spend the WINTER feeling like an oven!
Yay for you guys!

Yoleen said on 08/02/03 @ 04:24 PM: Oh my god, another Ortman! The band will have percussionists for generations to come! Congrats!
