UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 33-year-old dad, percussionist, sysadmin, Web developer, IT consultant and jack-of-all-trades geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Strom Thurmond is dead...or notMost newspapers have a stash of obituraries on file for people that aren't dead yet. It's a common practice. However, sometimes things slip out. This isn't a new problem, but newspapers need to make sure when they post pre-emptive obituraries on a server somewhere, they put it in a place that people can't get to. Otherwise, this happens.
