The Chubby Jedi is taking the video posters to court

This is sad, and I think the real reason we saw the original videos as really funny is we all saw part of us in him -- the uncomfortable geek just trying to make a video for a class, and, really, we were all laughing at ourselves. I know we all have parts of our lives that we'd never want videotaped and post on the 'net for all to enjoy.

Anyway, I told you before that the kid was identified and that money was being raised for him to buy the poor kid some toys for entertaining us all (to the tune of about four-grand). Well, Waxy.org, the site that introduced us to the Jedi, is reporting that the kid's family is taking legal action against the people who originally posted the video on the Internet.

It's sad, because this kid's going to be getting a whole bunch of toys from the Internet community, and now, if this is taken to court, he's not going to get a dime of it.
