The coolest commercial ever
From SlashDot: "Many have no doubt seen the Rube Goldberg-like multistep mechanical chain reaction TV advert for the Honda Accord. Many thought this was yet another example of the pervasive use of computer graphics in TV commercials. Amazingly the entire delicate set up of car parts that constitute the facinating sequence is almost 100% realtime live action requiring an astounding 606 takes to get right . There is one cheat however -- can you spot it?"
Dave Barry also posted a mirror to the ad (it's Flash, but still gets the point across). This is one of the most creative ads I have ever seen, and it's for one of my favoriate car companies.

i still say Ridley Scott has the best commercial ever "1984" and that is not just because i am a mac user :P that commerical stands up today just as it did in 1983 when it was made, it is, IMO, the coolest ever. i mean that ad said "Big Brother" before there really was a Big Brother.
this Honda commercial is one of the more interesting commercials i have seen in years tho. it would have been a lot more expensive if it were all CG - modeled and rendered, even compaired with a mind boggeling 606 takes. all it took was comping them together.
but, bar none i would say it keeps your attention through the enitre commercial, and that is more than most ads out there do now.

Try reading the book 1984 and you'll find out that the term "BIG BROTHER" Didn't spawn out of the television show. Big Brother was a term used to describe the government in the future world layed out in this book.
