UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Microsoft Development CodenamesIf you've been dealing with Microsoft products for any amount of time, you probably remember various product code names: Chicago (Windows 95), Memphis (Windows 98), Daytona (Windows NT 3.5), Whistler (Windows XP), etc... . But you probably didn't know that nearly every product that has ever left those Redmond, Wash., offices has had a code name during the development cycle. And you can find nearly all of them here.
