UtterlyBoring.com is produced by Jake Ortman (e-mail, resume), a 30-year-old dad, percussionist, freelance Web designer, consultant and jack-of-all-trades computer geek, living in Bend, Oregon. He created this so that his expensive journalism and technology degree isn't getting totally wasted. Politicos say U.S. 666 hurts tourism, economic developmentAnother Obscure Store link. Earlier, I posted a link to a story about a bible college shunning their "666" phone prefix. Now New Mexico politicians have decided to change the name of U.S. 666 in the northwestern part of the state. "It has negative connotations," says the transportation secretary.
