Build your own lightsaberOk, so I'm a Star Wars freak. I hope to make my own fan film in the next 6 months, so I've been learning film making techniques, and building lightsabers. I have used other parts than what Wilcoxusa. com tells you to use you can use a peice of pipe founed in the pluming section of homedepot. and everythig should be in that section. the buttions on the saber you can find in lighting. you would use the nuts that you would use to secure a light to a ceiling. then the kind of adhisif I reccomend is gorilla glue. It takes a lot of prep work to use but it pays off. Total mony I spent 15$!!!! that is sweet! I even got them all in the small town of Casper WY. so you should get them too. just go to a bolt shop and Home Depot and get: a peice of pipe 12" and the width is what ever feels comfotorable to your hand. I used 1 1/4" pipe. then you get any decoration you want. then you can get dull metal color or I used chrome paint. It should take you (if you move extreamly fast you can get it done in 3-4 days) about 7 days working for one to two hours a day. YOU WILL NEED TO USE: a drill press (for switches), a band saw, a file for metal, a lot of time and patence. and a girlfriend / boyfriend that understands. For one you need to know exactly what kind of lightsaber you are going to make before you start construction. I've made several, all turned out like shit since I did'nt plan it. So for example to build a obi wans ep 1 lightsaber (I know this sounds useless but read it all) go to google and type in Obi-Wan's ep 1 lightsaber plans or blueprints. then you should get a hughe list of sites that should help you. Some don't even come close to helping you but some of the sites I visited told you the parts you will need and how to assemble it.
